UNION JULIET BINDINGS: BINDINGS REVIEW

Union Juliet Bindings on the Never Summer Harpoon. Riding Le Tour in Chamonix, France

Year Model: 2022

Size: M

Boot size: Women’s 9

Board used: Never Summer Harpoon & Amplid Lovelife

Flex: Medium

Shock Absorption: I would say the Union Juliet Bindings have a very medium amount of shock absorption. They aren’t chattery like the Milan’s, but they also aren’t absorbing every bump you hit.  Solid 5/10.

Entry/Exit: Pretty average. The buckles slide well, but nothing stands out as unique. The ankle and toe strap lengths can be adjusted without a tool.

Comfort: I find the Union Juliet’s perfectly comfortable for their price point. I’ve ridden a lot of bindings that were not comfy, and these are great. They don’t push down on the top of the foot or cause any foot pain, but instead, the straps do a nice job of conforming around your foot to disperse any pressure evenly.

Who would love them: A solid all-mountain intermediate to advanced rider would enjoy these bindings for their price point. They aren’t so damp that all they want to do is carve, they do allow for a bit of pop. A nice, medium-flexing binding that could work for a lot of different riders. Someone who rides a little bit of every style would be happy with these versatile bindings.

What Stands Out: I don’t think they absolutely shine in any one aspect, but they also do a great job at everything… so for an all-mountain binding at this price point I think they’re one of the best.

Overall Feeling: I’d totally recommend the Union Juliet Bindings to any all-mountain intermediate or advanced woman rider. Definitely a great bang for the buck purchase.
